Today’s Frugal Recipe – Sausage and Potato Bake

Sausage and Potato Bake

4 sausages, cut into bite sized pieces

4 large potatoes, wedged

2 carrots, sliced

1 onion, chopped.

Arrange all ingredients in a baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 375 for 1 hour or until potatoes are cooked through.

This is a great frugal recipe. You can usually buy dinner sausages in large quantities for a very low price. By only using 4 sausages per meal, you can stretch that $8.00 container of meat over a couple of months.

  2. Sounds tasty. You can cut down on the baking time if your preboil the potatoes a bit 🙂

  4. Sounds yummy! I make oven meals like this one frequently in the cold months … often tossing together whatever fresh foods I have on hand. The effort warms the house, the heart and fills the belly with love!

  5. Hmmm I think I might try this with Bison sausages and on another day Turkey sausages. Thanks 🙂
